About this tool
A carrier contract usually has a fixed fee per shipment and a price per desi. This tool applies that tariff and shows the cost of a single shipment and of a batch together.
Formula
- Cost per shipment = fixed fee + (price per desi × desi) + extra fee
- Total cost = cost per shipment × number of shipments
- VAT-inclusive total = total × (1 + standard VAT rate)
- Cost per desi = cost per shipment ÷ desi; 0 is shown when desi is 0
Amounts are rounded HALF_UP to 2 decimals. Enter tariff amounts excluding VAT; shipping services carry standard-rate VAT (currently 20%), taken from the system rate. For a VAT-registered business the VAT on the carrier invoice is deductible, so the real cost is the net amount.
Example 1: fixed fee 20 TRY, 8.50 TRY per desi, 3 desi, 4 TRY extra, 10 shipments: per shipment 20 + 25.50 + 4 = 49.50 TRY; total 495.00 TRY; 594.00 TRY with 20% VAT; cost per desi 16.50 TRY.
Example 2: fixed fee 15 TRY, 7.25 TRY per desi, 12 desi, 3.50 TRY extra, 2 shipments: per shipment 105.50 TRY; total 211.00 TRY; 253.20 TRY including VAT; cost per desi 8.79 TRY.
How to read the result: cost per shipment is the VAT-exclusive shipping expense you use in pricing and profitability calculations. The VAT-inclusive total is what you actually pay the carrier. Cost per desi is your effective price per desi including fixed and extra fees, useful for comparing tariffs or desi ranges.

Notes
Amounts are rounded HALF_UP to 2 decimals. Tariffs are assumed to exclude VAT; the VAT-inclusive total uses the standard VAT rate. The same tariff and desi apply to every shipment. Cost per desi is cost per shipment divided by desi; 0 is shown when desi is 0.
